I love music! I have loved it since I was very young. My parents were also musical. Everyone in my family played piano, guitar, and other instruments. I started playing the piano when I was about 5 years old. I grew up in the state of Montana, so there weren't as many activities that you have here in California. So music was my whole world. I was in band (clarinet), chorus, piano lessons, and sang and played for the church my family went to.
When I was 16 years old, I decided to become a music teacher. I got a degree in Music and my Credential from Cal State Hayward (now Cal State East Bay). I was a piano major, since it was my first instrument. I have been teaching for the Corona Norco Unified School District since 1988. I have taught vocal music, fourth grade, high school musical theatre, and the last 12 years, I have been teaching band. On the weekends I play and music-direct for a musical theatre company. We are currently doing the show, "Seussical". Of course it is on break now, like everyone. If we come back to performing it, I will let you know.
I have a son who is also in the music business. He performs with a band in New York City, so that is my favorite place to go on vacation.
Music has added so much to my life, and I am so proud to be your music teacher. Stick with it, practice hard, and enjoy every moment!
Musically yours,
Mrs. Endemano
